After being away from writing for quite sometime now, I feel an urge to put my thoughts into words. So here I am, writing a new post.
Despite getting busy with your work and responsibilities,it always feel good to spend time on what you like. These days I feel people do not invest good time in what they should be doing i.e. pursuing their hobbies or interests.
It gives a sense of fulfillment to spend time on activities which you think are put off by the work you are doing. Its very important to know the importance of work-life balance. You simply rush towards more and more ignoring all that aound you. A lot has already been written about work-life balance, so it will not be worthy to mention all that again.
The more you do things which you feel happy about the more happy you are. Everyone posses some unique charactersitics which set him apart from others and becomes a reflection of self. Overwork should not be an excuse to put off your hobbies. By developing hobbies and interests we also inspire others to do the same, as they realize what they are missing.

Making decisions.. huhh...
As I see and feel, life is a continuous process whereby you are involved by performing actions and making decisions. Most of the time you spend in life goes into making decisions, smaller or big. Decisions which you make affects your life, and sometimes these affects are unanticipated and unprecedented. You are, where you are today, because of the aggregate of decisions you made so far. Decisions are the element which drives your actions, and as said, your actions define who you are.
Are we really making the effective decisions? Now this involves at least some delving into issue of how we make decisions. Factors coming into play when we consciously or unconsciously make decisions are (the list may not be comprehensive)
1. your understanding about yourself
2. your understanding about the environment
I have intentionally mentioned only two points. Making things simple, any more factors you can think of can be placed under these two.
Understanding about yourself includes your priorities, future plans, your expectations from others etc. Understanding your environment involves understanding external factors like family, workplace, society etc and their expectations from you.
to be continued...

Choosing your attitude
Sometime back I read somewhere which goes like this " sometimes you cannot change the work, but you can change the attitude you carry to do the work" going by this it really does feels motivating if you start looking things positively and understand what the situation demands. This not only brings harmony at workplace, but also gives peace of mind and improved productivity. It is the attitude which determines level of self-motivation.
